Question What to serve at the reception?

Our reception isn't going to start until 8... our ceremony at 7. I can't decide on serving a full dinner buffet or heavy hor'dourves. Which one would you do?

I would definately stick with light h'ordeauvres and appetizers. You don't want your guests falling asleep on you.

I agree. I personally wouldn't expect a full meal at any event that was scheduled to start at 7pm or later. I think some light finger foods and plenty of booze would be plenty! I'm also thinking of having my reception start around 8pm, partially to avoid the cost of a full catered meal.
