One of the best places to start is hire a wedding planner! For some reason on these posts I don't see a lot of that going on, it would cut down on quite a few of the problems that brides are having. I know some brides think of hiring a planner as an extra expense, but it really isn't. A real wedding planner SAVE brides money. I offer my clients a 40% discount on very high end wedding invitations and discounts on plent of other items. Check out my website (will completely be up again tomorrow, as I updated it) Home. You may also want to start with an Association in order to find an actual planner - not one that took a six week class and think that they are a professional now Association of Bridal Consultants

I have to say.. I disagree with getting a wedding planner. Unless you don't have a budget. In my opinion, the best way to get some ideas on where to start is the internet, and by far the best place is all of your girlfriends who have been their and done it already! I have found they offer alot of good ideas...ones I NEVER would have thought of. Not to knock wedding planners and all, but you are just needing to plan a reception since you have already had the ceremony, and it would seem like it would cost more to hire one, then it would to get the info on your own...but like i said.. its all personal pref. and if you have a budget. $$$$$$$$$$$$$
Good luck to ya!
