Hi Everyone. I am getting married on 1 NOV 08 and here in South Africa it is summer that time!

I need some help as my colours are bright (there are about 9 different colours). Plum, silver, aqua, Indigo, baby pink and various other shades of purple and then fusion pink. I need ideas for centrepieces that wont look cheap and that does preferably not include too many flowers. I like minimalistic.

I was also thinking of doing a black and white theme and using large chess pieces as centrepieces and X-rays as invitations but I prefer the more colourful approach.

I would love to incorparate mirroris, lace and beads/crystals in my centrepieces.

Here is an idea, where you can use as much color or as little as you want.

Purchase glass blocks from your local Lowes/Home depot or other similar store. (Approx $8.00 per block) Place ribbon around the block to make it look like a wedding present and place battery operated twinkle lights inside the block. You can use whatever color of lights you choose. Note: Keep these for decorations for christmas parties using red and green lights.

They look very elegant...yet not overdone.

It has ben a really long time since I left SA (10 years) but what about having baskets made from telephone wire in some of your colors (pinks and purples, etc.). I will keep thinking though. I love your colors.
