I would have to say, I agree with the ladies here. I would go with the disposable all around. If you are having the soup and salad served family style, maybe you could use the nice china to serve the soup and salad in and the guests use the disposables.

Well luckily, I don't have to decide on this any longer lol. We're having our wedding at a lovely restaurant. For just a bit more than our original location, but it's well worth it because I don't have to worry about a single thing. The restuarant automatically comes with professional wedding cordinators to take care of every little detail for me. If we stayed with our first pick, I would have to actually go there the morning of my wedding to decorate and set up ~ making sure everything was in order. I wasn't crazy about that plan, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do. With our new location, I don't have to do any of that.

Mandy - try this website. i wanted really nice disposables for the outdoors so I didn't have to lug the fancy plates and i didn't want to cost. I found really nice plates forks and knives that look real but are in fact disposable.

Well, as someone who would attend, I would expect some really good essentials, including that of the plates and stuff. I do think I will be turned if I see disposables before me. Lol.

It gives more elegance for the occasion.
