My fiance and I are having a spring wedding in april 2009. My colors are going to be baby blue and lavender. I'm not sure what kinds of flowers to use for the bouques. I'm also trying to figure out what centerpieces would look good? I'm considering just doing small flower centerpieces, but haven't made a solid decision yet. Also I'm trying to find some nice but inexpensive favors. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I just send you a message and then I saw this lol. I have an idea for the favors. Maybe you could get little mini pails (in your colors) and either fill them with candies or maybe a little plant. Or give out packets of flower seeds and have labels made for them saying something like, "Our love is in bloom". That way guests can plant the flowers at their home. It's a favor that will last always.....provided everyone remembers to water them lol. Flowers or candles are always a nice idea for centerpieces. If you liked the mini pail idea for the favors, then play on that more with the centerpieces and have bigger pails with flowers in them.

I would maybe try to do something with lilacs. Just make sure you don't have anyone allergic around them ^_^ Maybe you could do lilac scented votives on the tables as an idea. My fiance and I were thinking of doing colored M&M's for our favors (we still haven't decided yet). You could try that with the lavender and baby blue. I know they make them in a million different colors now. Hope that helps a bit or at least inspires.

Another idea would be to use lavender flowers. I am not sure if they are easily available there, but here in Washington State they grow like crazy. They will have a calming scent, and are a purple blue color. Another idea for centerpieces (what I am doing - therefore it is brilliant) is to use potted plants instead of cut flowers. I am going tobe using mini hydrangeas, but you could possibly look at the hardware store's garden center or a nursery and get some to match your color scheme and theme
