Re: Need Help... Fall Wedding Ideas?!?!?!?!?!
Hi there. I'm also getting married in the Fall. As of right now it's schedualed for 10/9/10 but we may push it to 9/25/10, as we're having an outdoor night wedding and October may be too chilly for everyone. But anyways, here are some things I came up with for our Fall theme: Table centerpieces are going to be those artificial pumpkins that you can actually carve with an array of silk florals that include sunflowers (my primary flower), stalks of wheat, berry stems and possibly cat nine tails. I plan on purchasing bails of hay, mums and baskets of gords to decorate around the grounds. Along with orange and white pumpkins. The white pumpkins I plan on taking a drill and poking random holes all around the pumpkin and then taking a set of white mini lights and poking a light through each hole. Being a night wedding, I think those will add a nice touch. All of the tables will be set up under a wooden pavilion, so I'm going to get some strands of artificial Fall leaves and weave them around all the railings and posts. For a seating chart, I'm going to get those real tiny 'gord' pumpkins and have guests' names written on a minila tag, tied around the pumpkins' stems. The color scheme will be copper and chocolate. That's pretty much all I've come up with thus far. Since you're getting married in September and if you don't like everything I've listed, then maybe you could have an apple theme. That's also a great idea for a September wedding. Instead of Fall leaf garland, you could go with an apple garland. I'm sure Michael's or ACMoore will carry that that time of year. For table centerpieces you could have floating apple candles in a shallow bowl of water. Seating could be the same idea as mine except instead of pumpkins use apples ~ that's deffinatly a budget saver right there. You could even have bobbing for apples for the kids that will attend....of course I would suggest having something then could put over their clothes so their parents don't get mad lol. The whole theme of the wedding could be "Apple Of My Eye" ~ I think that's wicked cute. Hope my ideas have helped you. Keep me posted with your ideas.
