Hi there. I'm also getting married in the Fall. As of right now it's schedualed for 10/9/10 but we may push it to 9/25/10, as we're having an outdoor night wedding and October may be too chilly for everyone. But anyways, here are some things I came up with for our Fall theme: Table centerpieces are going to be those artificial pumpkins that you can actually carve with an array of silk florals that include sunflowers (my primary flower), stalks of wheat, berry stems and possibly cat nine tails. I plan on purchasing bails of hay, mums and baskets of gords to decorate around the grounds. Along with orange and white pumpkins. The white pumpkins I plan on taking a drill and poking random holes all around the pumpkin and then taking a set of white mini lights and poking a light through each hole. Being a night wedding, I think those will add a nice touch. All of the tables will be set up under a wooden pavilion, so I'm going to get some strands of artificial Fall leaves and weave them around all the railings and posts. For a seating chart, I'm going to get those real tiny 'gord' pumpkins and have guests' names written on a minila tag, tied around the pumpkins' stems. The color scheme will be copper and chocolate. That's pretty much all I've come up with thus far. Since you're getting married in September and if you don't like everything I've listed, then maybe you could have an apple theme. That's also a great idea for a September wedding. Instead of Fall leaf garland, you could go with an apple garland. I'm sure Michael's or ACMoore will carry that that time of year. For table centerpieces you could have floating apple candles in a shallow bowl of water. Seating could be the same idea as mine except instead of pumpkins use apples ~ that's deffinatly a budget saver right there. You could even have bobbing for apples for the kids that will attend....of course I would suggest having something then could put over their clothes so their parents don't get mad lol. The whole theme of the wedding could be "Apple Of My Eye" ~ I think that's wicked cute. Hope my ideas have helped you. Keep me posted with your ideas.

Exclamation Re: Need Help... Fall Wedding Ideas?!?!?!?!?!

Here is where things get a lil tricky... we are getting married in a pretty old church that his great great grandmother founded... and over the years as the church has grown they decided to expand the church which has offset everything... so when i walk down the aisle once i get to the front i have to make a right have turn and go about 5 feet then face forward... any ideas on how to decorate so it won't look so bad with that L shape walk? I am so lost here.... It totall off sets everything... and our ceremony will be indoors as well because Michigan weather is SO unredictable and there is a small hallway to get to the actual hall... any ideas on a good cheap way to decorate that? Thank you so much for your help!!!

As far as decorations for a church, really the only things I've ever seen is bows on the pews and flowers near the alter. I don't think you can get too crazy with the decorations in a church. You don't want to hide the church's natural beauty anyways. For any ceremony, the focus should be on you and your FH ~ not on the decorations. Keep it sweet and simple.

Hmm....I really can't think of anyway to cover them up without it looking weird. I would ask if the instruments could possibly be moved to storage or something for your ceremony.

I getting married this October. I love fall. I'm also a simple person.
The bridesmaids are wearing "TRUFFLE" (brown) and all the flowers are Orange, yellow, etc. The alter flowers are all fall flowers same thing oranges, yellow, browns.
If you have a flower girl, maybe some orange rose petals, etc.
