I would say yhe wedding party, the parents, spouses of the wedding party, and children( if you want) and i have also heard of people inviting other close friends, but i think the rehersal dinner is so you can corigraph the next day, so only the people you really have to have their. We are going to have our wedding at my MIL"S house and so i figured we would set up the day before, have the rehersal and a BBQ then all of us girls are going to my bridal shower. But i think how ever and where ever you want it is okay. as long as you and the groom are happy

Lightbulb Re: Where?

We are having ours at the same place that we are holding the wedding so that we can set up everything the night before, mind you we are having our wedding at a golf course so we are able to do that.

Close friends of ours had their rehersal dinner at a restaurant that was significant to them, it was a tiny restaurant and they were familiar with the people who worked there so it was very nice and cozy. They selected their favourite items and had them brought out kind of "buffet style" on the table (selection of items in the middle of the table and everyone could take what they wanted and the items were refilled as needed). It was really nice.

That's what we are doing for our rehearsal "dinner". We are having people over to our house and having an informal barbeque. That way, everyone can relax and take it easy the night before all the craziness starts!!

I think you just invite the people who in the wedding and parents. And whoever else you want there I guess. But it doesn't need to be formal unless you want it to be. And you could just have a bbq or at a nice quiet resturant/diner. We were thinking of just haing one at our house. And make it an early night. Cuz in the morning your gonna be really busy. My moh and I are actually are leaving from the dinner early to stay at a hotel. And we're doing the same thing for her's next year. That's why we're having it at the house, it wouldn't be so arkward leaving from home then it would from a resturant. And every body could then stay as long as they like without feeling rushed becasue the bride left.

I may not be much help, but we are having our engagement party at a buffet here in LV, and probably going to to the same thing for the rehearsal dinner. We just want to keep it simple. I hope that helps!

We're having ours at my sister's (Matron of Honor) house. My grandma really wanted to have a roll in the wedding and since I LOVE her mostacoli she will be making that for our rehearsal dinner. We're having our parents, attendants (with spouses and kids) and our out of town guests.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the restaurant where we first met (we both waited tables at the same restaurant). It was a casual Italian restaurant. Most of our guests were from out of town so we actually had a casual rehearsal dinner there and invited all 85 of our guests. I loved it!!

I'm pretty stumped on where to have my rehearsal dinner too. I don't want to do any kinda of backyard/outdoor dinner, because our engagment party will be in my FHs parents' backyard (I think) and our wedding will be outdoors. But yet, I still want the rehearsal to be simple. I was thinking, how cute it would be to have it at the place where my FH and I first said "I love you". BUT, that place happens to be, ummm....for lack of a better word, a ghetto pizza place. haha
