My mother and my fiance's mother are throwing me the shower, now I love decorating for parties, it's an art to me. Would it be alright for me to put up or help put up the decorations, or is that left to the one's that are throwing the shower?

I think if its ok with your mom and Fiance's mom and they don't want it to be a surprise for you. I would help decorate. I'm sure they both know that you love to do that and would be happy to let you help. But if you want it to be a surprise or they want it to be a surprise I wouldn't.

Ask them if you can help with the decorations because you LOVE to do this type of thing, but be careful not to make it sound like you're doing it because you think they'll screw it up! Chances are they'd be happy to have you help with that while they're busy preparing food and inviting friends and family. I love this type of thing too and I helped with mine and am so glad I did because it was a fun way for me to be involved. Plus it's great practice for the stress of decorating for the wedding!

If it's not a surprise then I would ask to help, but don't get mad if they say no. They are throwing this party for you to give a stress free fun day. And if they want to be a surprise then I would just let it go. They want to do somthing for you.
