I'm in a wedding where I'm moh and my duaghter is flower girl, then I'm getting married where my daughter is also my flower girl, would it be worng to ask my friend if we could try to pick out a dress we both like so my daughter could just wear it again? All in one year I'm gonna have 2 bridesmaid dresses and a wedding grown and then two flower girl dresses? That's alot when I have a whole wedding myself to pay for. And I don't know how to ask her. We went and looked at dresses and she picked one for her then said oh this would be perfect for yours. I don't want to buy two dresses for my 5 y/o if she will have one that will still fit. Am I just being cheap?

I think she ould understand since you are her moh and she knows what all you are doing. If she is getting married first, and you have to buy the dress then you should be able to use it again, and i don't like the idea of a little girl having a dress that she will only be able to were one time it is a waist of money.

Maybe you can get a dress in white or ivory (depending upon the color goes best with both weddings) and attach a silk bow, flower or sash in a color to coordinate with each wedding. That way its the same dress, but look totally different for each wedding.

Technically, if you have said your daughter will be her flower girl it is bad etiquette to insist on picking a dress you can reuse. Most people cant reuse a dress for a wedding of any kind. Etiquette would say let her pick the dress for her wedding and if you want to reuse it you can, but it shouldnt require your approval.
