Maybe you could still have her be a bridesmaid, if you dont have a definite number on how many attendants you are having. If you already have enought attendants, ask her to be a personal attendant. She can help with odds and ends on your wedding day, and she wont feel left out.

I agree with ChelseaL, you can still have her be a part of your day, she should understand that you made plans around her's.
