My fiance and I decided on 4 bridesmaids and 4 groomsmen. He can fill his four no problem, I on the other hand can't make a decision on who to make the fourth on my side. My first 3 are my sister and my two best friends. The fourth could be a life long friend, or one of my cousins. I don't know who to ask. I feel obligated to ask my cousin because I was in her wedding, but I can't ask her and not her sister, but then I would have one to many bridesmaids, if I don't ask my life long friend I am afraid she will be hurt. Any suggestions? My time is running out, my wedding is in October and I haven't ordered the bridesmaid dresses yet!

I had the same problem. My hubby to be had no problem filling 5 spots and I only could fill four. I could have chose my cousin that lives 10 hours away, but then I would have had to ask her brother and I have a friend but we are not the closest. My decision was to have only my four closest girl's to me in the wedding. When it comes to the recessional, I am just going to have 2 guys with 1 girl. Just remember it is your day and you can do what you want. Hope that helps you out.

I'm in the same problem we decided on 4 which is veryone he wants in the wedding it might even be 5 he's still deciding about the fifth, but me I filled 2 spots. So I have 2 or 3 more to fill and I want his one sister but then his other sister will throw a fit. But I'm not even close to her, and she upsets me alot. But I like the idea of just having 2 guys walk with the one girl, maybe I'll just do that. I have a while yet. Good luck

You know its really hard trying to find someone for everyone that yours of my fh wants in the wedding party. My fiancee has 11....I say it again 11 groomsmen. I haven't even come close to is number yet. I grew up as a loner so I don't have many friends. I have one person that I consider my "friend" and I'm not really sure about her....So going with the two men walking one girl is good.....

I have chosen 3 bridesmaids and 1 MOH...my fiancee chose 2 groomsmen and 1 BM...

he solved the "uneven" number by including his very BEST friend--his dog. Bailey will be the 4th "man" standing for him.

I hate to burst your bubble, but it's probably too late to order your dresses. A friend of mine had a similar problem so she just went to a local department store and found a dress in her color that turned out really cute! I actually think all the bridesmaids had different styles but were the same color. It's also cheaper, and it's kind of trendy to have mix-matched maids. Good luck!
