Since I've become engaged everyones been really excited for me which is awesome of them . Lately it seems my MOH's enthusiasm has gone away. I know its not her wedding so she isn't going to be excited as I am about all the time but she never has the time to take me out to look at wedding things. She will go out with other friends and do stuff but she will tell me she has no time. I try not to talk about it much because I don't want to drive anyone nuts like I have been with all the rushing I've been doing. She just doesn't seem to care that much anymore at all. When I picked her to be my MOH it was a hard choice. Her and one of my bridesmaids were tied pretty much in my mind. I almost want to tell her she can just be a bridesmaid and my bridesmaid my new MOH. I think that would hurt feelings though. I just see her not caring as much about the wedding or our friendship for that last couple of months, even before I was engaged. When I got engaged she wanted to hang out all the time and do all this wedding stuff, now its nada. I don't understand. Can anyone shed some light or give me advice?

Well... I have to say.. Im kinda in the same boat...
Only a little diff. My MOH doesnt live near me, as a matter of fact, only one of my bridesmaids does. My MOH hasn;t said one thing to me about the wedding...except" How much will my dress cost". Its always about her,her and her. Its kinda sad..she is my MOH and I cant even be excited about the wedding with her...but I have known her the longest, and I felt like we were the closest. I know its so tough, but I think once you ask someone to play a specific role in your wedding, ya probably shouldn't de-promote them... if you will.....AS MUCH AS I WANT TO!!!!! I even told my hubby to be tonight, that I will ask one of my bridesmaids to do a toast as opposed to my MOH.
So, to answer your question..in my opinion...I would keep things how they are, but take your other bridesmaid to do the fun wedding stuff with you. You want to have good memories, and dont want someone to take the wind out of your sail....Good Luck.. hope I helped a little!!

Actually you did help. But since I put this up she has seemed to be more involved so i'm guessing it was just a phase sorta thing. As of now she seems to be the most involved/interested in my wedding lol. What a 360. Thats life I guess.

As someone who's been on both the bride and maid of honor sides of things, your absent MOH may have just been a little on the jealous side. Even though she's happy for you, sometimes all the happily ever after wedding stuff gets to be a little much when you're not necessarily happy in your own love life.

Fortunately it sounds like your MOH has gotten over it. Awesome, problem solved.
