Has anyone heard of a wedding having no wedding party?

Yes I have. My friend got married on a cruise and there was a lot of us who could not go because of how expensive it was. So, she just had her mother and her mother-in-law stand up for them. It wasn't a real wedding party at all.

In the way beginning of planning my wedding, my fiance and I were thinking of getting married down in Aruba. Since we knew hardley anyone could join us we were thinking of keeping it an immediate family only ordeal which would in turn, leave us with no wedding party. It can/does happen but its just not the "common" route. I guess it depends what way you want to go with it.

Well, a wedding party is a celebration of life and love. If you don't really want some party, like if you just married in Vegas, and wanted to just keep things discreet or something, I don't think it will be a drag.


It is your wedding day, you can do anything you want about it. :-)

im not having a wedding party, the only people im having is flower girls and ring bears. hehe its just so expensive and i just want to be up there with just my father and my future husband.

A wedding party is a way to tell the world about ur important moment in ur life. So, it a must i think, as long as u can afford it.
