So here's the deal, we've been together for a few years and would like to make it official. The only thing is we live in PA, his family is in OH and mine is in NM. Its important to both of us to have our family with us, but we are unsure of where to have the ceremony. Keeping in mind that our grandparents probably won't be able to travel and of course the old money sitution. We don't want it to be a financial stretch for our families to travel. So, does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks!

That's a tough one. The only thing I can suggest, is for the two of you to sit down and figure out, who is more financially able to travel for the wedding ~ his parents or yours? If you have the wedding in PA then both families would have to travel, making it most fair to all. The only other thing I can think of is to have two small ceremonies, one in his home town and one in yours. Or maybe just have the parents come to PA for the actual wedding vows, then have a small party celebration in each home town.
