Hi, My name is Danielle and I'm new to the site. I'm 22 and I'll be getting married on May 31,2008. I dont know if im putting this in the wrong section, but i have ALOT of questions to ask.
My first is about colors. My Fiance was married before, but for a short time. Their colors was red,white,black and silver. And I have always dreamt of having red as my color. I want the girls dresses red, and the reception mainly white, but with touches of red color. I've been struggling if I should keep my color or change it? Some say I should do what I want, and some say I should give it a new color. His wedding was 2 years ago, but I know his family will probably still remember.
My second question. We still have not found a recepion site yet. Well, we have, but here's the problem. It's the only place that we have found that's both beautiful and in our range, and that we are happy with. But, the renter was very rude and pushing his services on us after we had already told him no. I walked out after our meeting(after he kept us late,knowing we had another appointment to go to) bawling my eyes out. I was very upset of how I felt he treated us,and the fact that he pushed us away, and I'm just stressed out. Should we find another place, or rent it and put up with him??

Sorry for the rant, but I can take any advice thats given right now.

Hello - It sounds like you are a bit stressed. First let me start with the color. Since you have always wanted red I would stick with red. If you are not stuck on the shade of red then pick a shade different then the previous wedding. Red and white has a completely different look then red, silver, and all the other colors.
As far as the place - I don't know what happened with customer service any more - I would try to find another location. If he is this difficult trying to "sell" you the place can you imagine if there was a problem on site close to the wedding date?

thanks Jenni, it helps alot. we have decided to stay with red and white. and like you suggested, it will be a different shade. and about the site.. problems coming up later have crossed my mind. at first i was thinking, just sign the contract, and i wont have to deal with him till its time, and even then he wont be there for the actual reception. so i thought it would not be so bad.. but then it hit me, that what if, for some reason he trys to say we owe more or afterwards, stayed past our time and charged us alot more. cuz i think he has it in him to be a **** like that.

Good thinking. Even if you have to pay slightly more - it may be worth the less hassle in the long run. Why deal with someone who can't appreciate that this is your special day. Best of luck to you!
