I have choosen fuchsia and chartreuse as colors for my July '08 wedding. I was thinking of my girls being in fuchsia dresses ( a deep, not bright fuchsia), carrying green flowers. The groomsmen would be in black tuxes with black vests and ties (not bow ties). Their boutonniers would be fuchsia and chartreuse. I know this seems bright, but I am not a huge fan of most pastel colors. The only problem is, I can't find dresses in colors that aren't neon-like that would fit the body types of my maids (they range from plus-sized to a size 8). Even if I let them pick their own style from one designer, the only designers that have dresses to suit every body type generally have pinks that are too bright. Does anyone know of any designers with fuchsia dresses that are appealing and affordable? What do you think of these colors? Also, what about dress length? Are the hemline rules still in place according to the time of day a wedding starts? My dress is full of sparkle and is rather formal but my wedding will start around 3:00 (as of now) with a reception beginning at 6:00.

Your colors sound fabolous and the length is good. Have you tried David's Bridal - Neiman Marcus also has great dresses as well as Lord & Taylor.
