Hi All!
My fiance and his best man, are firefighters and plan on wearing their class a dress blues for our wedding. our jp is the chaplin for the fire department and he is going wear his uniform as well. the ushers are going to be in black tuxes. (does navy blue go with black?!) i had originally wanted red to be the color of my flowers and bridesmaid dresses, but i think that might look too patriotic with the dress blues. what other colors should i consider? i'd really appreciate any thoughts an opinions!! thank you in advance Teaguen |

I don't know - why not be patriotic? Firefighters are very important to all of us - keep in mind 9/11. You can even incorporate that into your theme and have a "Fireman's wedding theme" - that would make your decorating possibilities endless.

I agree about the deeper red. I think that a dark blue and dark red would look awesome together. If you are still worried about it looking odd together, what about a lighter blue. Of course time of year could also determine other colors that may or may not be "appropriate".
Completely off topic but have you looked at cake toppers of firemen and their brides, some sites I have found while looking for military toppers had them, I can't remember off the top of my head, but you could always "google" it :-P. |
