Lightbulb The Perfect Pair

Well, my entire wedding has done a complete 180 lol. Before, we were set for a 10-9-10 wedding with an Autumn theme ~ copper dresses, pumpkins, fall leaves, mums, sunflowers, corn stalks, bails of hay, ect. Now we're on for a 09-4-09 wedding with a pear theme ~ "The Perfect Pair" that is. Dorky and cute at the same time, huh? The dresses will now be a sage green and the favors will be these cute little pear (the perfect pair) magnets I found online. Still keeping the sunflowers though....I can't part with those. Instead of fall leaves and sunflowers on the cake, it'll be pears and sunflowers. I'm just having a bit of trouble thinking of a new table centerpiece idea. I'd like to incorporate pears, of course. Any ideas, ladies?

You could do a tall glass vase and put some of those fake pears in it, and have candles around the base of the vase. I did a quick search online for "perfect pair wedding theme" and found a lot of sites that have pear favors. There are some really cute pear candles too.

That is too funny. That's pretty much the exact same centerpiece idea I thought of the other day ~ except also to fill the vase with water. But I'm not sure if fake pears float or not lol. That might screw up the whole thing.

Great minds think alike I guess! I would check out different places for the fake pears. I know some of them are really heavy and solid and some are a lot lighter. If you find that they are floating, maybe you could tie a have charm or something on them to help them sink. Either that or try like the glass gemstones and fill the vase with those. You could get some light green ones. I know that Dollar Tree stores carry light green ones for $1 a bag (16 oz. bag). Hope that helps!

Mandy I thought of you and your wedding the other day when I was reading a magazine article. It said that if you are going to use artificial fruit in water and they were floating, let them soak for 24 hrs before the wedding and then they should be saturated enough to sink. Hope that helps!

Oh that is great! Thanks so much.
I'm actully getting two of those products already - the magnet favors and the silver plated place card holders. I originaly saw them at nowandforever.com and a bit cheaper too. But I think I'm going to get the place cards from this site. It just adds more to the theme, which I've been trying to do.
