I'm getting married in spring at my grandma's house. It is very shaded and green, and in the house it's red a brown. It's a beautiful Victorian house.
Since we got engaged I've always said the colors would be a light yellow and green. He (my fiance) says no pink, and agreed on the scheme. I've been second guessing that. I saw a house today painted the colors and it looked tacky. When I talked to the florist she said we can't use too many yellows because of the setting. We want a fun, spring-y, daytime wedding. What colors can we use considering the wooded setting? |

do you have pix!? I'm esp. interested to see how the cake plays out.
I really like that combo too, and my fiance and I didn't even have to think about it, we knew the other would like it. But then I saw that damn house! lol. I think I need to see it in action. On the knot I've seen lost of green and lots of yellow but no green AND yellow. |

Green and yellow are great together!!!
What does the house look like? Maybe take one of the colors out and paint it white instead. A yellow green house could look tacky. But a white green house or a white yellow house sounds great. What ever color you choose to take out you could plant that color in front of the house. Good luck |

Well, the lack of yellow isn't stopping the florist from using yellow, it's the shady-ness of the gardens. My tendancy is more toward a light yellow, rather than a daisy yellow or something. So I think thats why she said we can't use many yellow flowers.
I'm probably overthinking it! I'd still love pix though  |

I don't have any of my own pics yet, but if you go onto David's Bridal site, click on 'bridal party' and then 'browse by color', then pick Olivine (bottom left hand corner of the color box) ~ I like the very first dress that comes up. That particular color is pretty much what I have invisioned for my wedding. I think a pale or even a darker yellow would look nice with that. Maybe for your wedding, if you're worried about that dark of a green, you could go with something like the Peridot from DB site. Hmm, or even....go with light yellow dresses and then flowers based on white. Plus you'll still get a bit of green if your florist will use fillers like ferns or something.

I agree with the rest of the ladies...yellow and green would look awesome together! Especially if both colors are on the pastel side and not too Easter color-like
Good luck an dgo with your gut! www.planmycheapwedding.com |
