Hi guys... thought I would run this by you all.
For some of you that have read some of my posts.. you may or may not know that we are having a Black/white with camo accent wedding. Bridesmaids in Black gowns we got from Davids Bridal, and the groomsmen our renting Black tuxes however their tie and vest are mossy oak camo from "The Formal Sportsman"
The vests are about 35 and ties 20. (they cant be rented) Iam wondering, should the men all have to pay for their tux rental, and us ask them to pay for their tie and vest?????? I don't know how much a tux rental is first off, and second, do they get it cheaper if ya only get the coat, pants, white shirt and shoes?? I know.. thast a goofy question.. but i just dont know!!!

Traditionally the groomsmen pay for their own tuxes. I am not sure aout the vests, but I would asume this is also covered by said tradtion. With my wedding, we are having a total of 5 guys in tuxes, and FH and I are having to pay for at least 3 of them because grooms dad and groomsmen can't afford to rent one, but I wanted them.

Yeah, all of our guys are paying for their own tux rentals too. If anyone of your ushers makes a statement or something about having to pay for the vests and ties too, then offer to go in halves with them maybe.

What if the groomsmen gifts that the groom gets for them is the vest and tie? Just like you buy something for your girls to wear on your special day, the groom does the same for his guys. Maybe he could get one and or both? Just a thought
